Nature Walk

Phoenix Class really enjoyed going on an Autumn Nature walk on Friday afternoon. Having created our own maps of the local area we planned the route of our walk and used our maps to help us navigate. We each had a job to do whilst on the walk. The range of jobs included; bird watching, insect spotting, photographers and scavenger hunt collectors. We found a range of plants, animals and habitats and thoroughly enjoyed creating some outdoor art with leaf rubbings.

Year 3 and 4: Phoenix Class

There is an exciting and stimulating learning environment in Phoenix class. The children greatly enjoy our topic based approach. It enables them to make links between different subjects and we proactively look for opportunities to develop and apply the core skills of literacy, numeracy and ICT across the curriculum.

Compass fun!

We had lots of fun using compasses to navigate around the playground. There was a range of challenges to follow and find out where we would finish up facing! We aim to use this to help us with mapping skills in geography this term.
